Things started off good and got better as the day went
on. We were third fastest in the first practice
session with a time of 21.989, I think that is one of the fastest times
the #10 has turned at Irwindale. Second practice was in typical
Tim style and was a little slower at 22.000 (I'm always a little slower
in second practice, don't ask me why ), the board showing us in third
once again, but later on the track penciled in two other cars ahead of
us putting us in 5th.
So, for the first time this year
we were put in the fast qualifying group. For those of you who
don't know, Irwindale does not do two lap / single car qualifying like
"normal" but divides the cars into three different groups based on what
